Tremendous amount of work has been done in the northeast section to reroute the trails to improve the trail bed, replace the water crossing which was washed out again last year and revamp a creek crossing that was a steep and often muddy approach. Great ride.

What a disapointment! I had such high hopes for this park after hearing such good comments on the riding that I had high expectations. Unfortunately, the info I recieved was quite outdated (from when the area was gov,t owned). Boy have things changed! If you are a rider who enjoys single track forrested NATURAL trails, this is not for you! My group was there for 5 days and rode ALL the trails on the map during that time and virtually ALL of them (80+%) were road riding of one form or another, most without shade. The trails were primarily access roads, active logging roads, fire lanes, old asphalt roads, and even highways. Nearly all had been gone through with a bulldozer of one size or another. The much anticipated ride to lunch in town was nearly all open road riding. There were only 2 or 3 mostly short trails that were actual trails and even these were the cleanest groomed one I've ever been on outside of a Chicago bridle path. Maybe they should spend less on trail maintinance and more on an OUTHOUSE as there are none in camp!

Beautiful area, large camping area but primitive. Electric pens allowed and mostly level sites at Willow Camp Area. Great water crossing and trails are pretty well maintained. Try it, think that most will like it!! Trails are medium to harder, depends on what you like to ride.
