We loved the mule days weekend. Very nice campground and horse stalls. Clean restrooms and showers. The trails are some of the best we have ever ridden. Highly recommend this campground. |

Red Hill is an excellent choice for camping! Gene is a gracious & friendly host who's priority is the comfort of his guests. Spacious campground with plenty of access to water and shaded sites. Immaculate bath houses. Stalls are level & roomy with access to plentiful sawdust for bedding. The trails provided challenges & beautiful views, & we were fortunate to get guided rides while we were there. You will enjoy your stay I assure you....we will def be going back! |

We Love L.B.L. and Wrangler's Campground. We love it so much we drive 11 hours to get there from Erie, Pa. The only problem we have is that they don't reserve sites with Sewer, electric and water. We pull in with out 36 footer and stay for 10 days, we find it hard and impossible to unhook to empty the septic. I know you can reserve the sites along the road but they don't offer both water and electric do they? I have tried to book those a year in advance with no luck. The other sites are first come first serve and you all know out there: when you have driven that far and have horses on the trailer, you just want your site and stalls. |

We took six experienced trail horses out. It was a super easy, relaxing ride. Trails are very well maintained and almost completely shaded. It was pretty warm this morning, but we were very comfortable on the trails. There are lots of bicycles and runners on trails that intersect with the horse trails. You also travel beside a golf course for a bit, so there are golf carts running close by. Great place to start a young horse or inexperienced rider on trails. |

I'm not sure this place is even open anymore. We went there years ago! We were the only people in the campground. Getting there was something! The road was two lanes, then one lane, then one lane gravel, then one lane dirt, down to 1/2 lane with a mountain drop-off on one side! They had a gate to lock you in once you got there......this was to keep the hillbillies out! Trails were ok.......only about three days of riding there total.

I have been to Camp Creek 2 summers in a row now. It is a favorite of mine, even tho it is primitive camping. There is a peace there you just can't hardly get anywhere else! The sites are well spaced, with tie stalls & small round pen at the sites with fire rings & picnic tables. There is a clear creek that runs behind the camp that is easily accessible for watering your horse or washing them off. The vault toilet is fairly well maintained, and the shower facilities are about a mile away in the main campground and they are very nice. The horse camp is behind a locked gate, which prevents a lot of traffic from wandering in. Trails are very well marked, and the map is easy to read, making navigation pretty easy. They loop & intersect, making for lots of miles to ride....it is a beautiful place to ride & worth the trip! |

I have been to EJ's twice this year, & it is definitely a favorite! The Pocahontas County Mountains are some of the prettiest you will find....EJ is a gracious host, always looking out for his campers needs & interests. Although the trails can be a bit difficult to read, he will give you directions in addition to the map, and most of the time he will take you. The camp is small but has all the basic amenities trail riders are looking for. It is a relaxing retreat! It will be a regular destination for me. |
