Very nice camp. Small and homey. Full Hook ups, 20 or 30 amp elec. Stalls or paddocks are safe and roomy.Owners are wonderful. Easy access to I75, big rig friendly. No bath house.LQ trailers need to be self contained. Cute cottage available for rent onsite, fully equipped. Dog friendly, leash rule. Trail access just up the private, sandy road. Trails are sandy, some single track, some wider. Could be better marked, but overall easy to follow. |

Good place to camp and ride. So happy to find a horse camp with water/electric and horse pens in Michigan. Rustic, well kept camp, sites are positioned so you are not on top of your neighbors. Horse corrals are sturdy and base is all sand. Several concrete manure pits around camp. Bring a rake, manure fork and manure cart if you have one, wheelbarrows provided. Nice covered area for gathering, bathrooms and showers. Well marked trails on property with good map. Access to national forest trails. Don & Joyce are helpful and friendly. We will be back! |

This is one of our favorite places to camp and ride. They don't seem to get enough good press. Sites are spacious, you have a choice of pipe corals at your site or stalls in the barn. Park staff provide manure buckets, you just have to fill them and the staff comes by to empty. Bathhouses are clean and well maintained. Trails are wide, sandy and well marked, maps are accurate. Rangers have always gone above and beyond to be helpful whenever we need anything. |
