Hatchet Valley Trails are well marked side by side riding is available for some stretches. The pot luck lunch was delicious and as Doug says, 'No desert is complete without ice cream.

The Stalls are in good condition. The trails are fairly well marked and vary from riding down gravel roads to single path trails through the woods. Campsites have 30 amp and 50 amp service. The History of this area is fascinating....First capital of Alabama Territory and a Ghost story curse on the old town of St. Stephens. Very interesting.

The trails were well marked with ribbons. However, there were a lot of downed trees when we visited. The Campground sites are nice and flat, some in shade and some with none. There are no horse lodging facilities is why I rated only 2 stars.
