We love every time we go stay at True West!! We are always greeted by Donna like we are family!! We always feel so at home while we are staying at True West because it is such a nice place to stay and we are sure our horses are going to be taken care of!! Our horses love the stalls there, they are always calm and comfortable when they stay in the stalls and that is a big deal to us, if our horses are happy then we are happy!! We live close but don't get up to ride the trails there very often so we really enjoy riding those trails when we are there, they have so many different kinds of trails from easy and wide (which we love to canter down!) to rocky and difficult (which we love to challenge our horses with!) There is a trail for every type of rider right outside the camp :)

The Murder Mystery Dinner was such a good time! Donna and Shawn really went out of their way to make it an incredible dinner! There were really cute decorations that made you feel like you were really in the old west! Such a great idea, hope they decide to have it again next year! We each played a character and we all had a great time trying to figure out who was the "Murderer", and funny enough it ended up being my husband, LOL!! We will definitely be back to True West to camp again! Thanks Donna and Shawn for being great Campground owners and great hosts!

Another wonderful time at True West :) True West is definitely one of our favorite campgrounds!! We had three wonderful rides from the trail heads that are right across the street!! It's such a calm and peaceful atmosphere at the campground that is so relaxing!! My husband and I love it there so much and are going back in September so we can have another fantastic camping weekend!!

Had another wonderful time at True West!! We just love the atmosphere there!! Donna and Shawn make you feel SO at home and will try and do whatever they can to make your stay an amazing experience!! I had a problem with my horse when we went out on the trails, he got stung by something and I had to take his saddle off, so I called Donna to ask if she could meet us and pick up the saddle so that I could just walk my horse back to the campground, and she was there within minutes!! I feel like Donna and Shawn would be there any time I needed them and that means everything to me!! I know when I stay there that my horses and I are going to be taken care of in any situation!! My husband and I have made two more reservations with True West because we love it there so much!! Go to True West and have an experience you will never forget!!

Friends of mine stayed at True West for Memorial Day weekend. I wanted to come ride just for a night and Donna and Shawn were nice enough to give me a stall for the night so that I could get a couple of great rides in that weekend!! They were so nice to make room for me when there were so many people coming and going because it was such a busy weekend!! Even though they were busy they still made time for me and my horse and that is what counts the most!! No matter what they are up to Donna and Shawn will ALWAYS go out of their way to help in any way that you need it!! I LOVE True West so much that my husband and I already have reservations for two more weekends this year and we cannot wait to go and spend the weekend with them!! I HIGHLY recommend going to True West to experience how horse camping really should be!!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE True West!! We went on Easter weekend and they had an "all chocolate weekend" to celebrate!! The chocolate was Mmm Mmm good!! What a neat idea to celebrate Easter!! Donna and Shawn have so many more neat things planned for this year so be sure to look them up and try camping at the #1 campground of 2013 because 2014 is going to be just as much fun!!

What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had at True West!! Donna and Shawn were so sweet and invited us into their home to have dinner so that we did not have to sit out in the cold!! They really treat EVERYONE like family!! Shawn smoked a turkey and it was delicious!! Donna made tons of food to go with it, stuffing, green bean casserole, corn, mashed potatoes, and SO much more!! ALL the food was so good, Shawn and Donna really did an incredible job!! If you get a chance to visit True West then you really need to because they are THE BEST!!

Had a wonderful Veteran's Day weekend at True West!! When we got there on Saturday Donna checked us in and Shawn helped us get everything unloaded, cleaned our trailer out, and then helped us get comfortable at the camper. This was our first time renting the camper and we thought it was so great that we are planning on going back for Thanksgiving and we are staying in the camper again!! The bed was really comfortable and the heat worked great!! There are pots and pans for cooking and a television and DVD player to watch after you get back from riding!! I felt very "at home" there and that is one reason that we love to go to True West!! The Veteran's Day ceremony was incredible!! Donna really put together a great ceremony and the dedication of the flags was amazing!! The pot luck dinner afterwards was great too, great food and great company!! True West is the best campground in the area and we can't wait to get back there for Thanksgiving!!

Had a WONDERFUL stay at True West as usual!! We took the Spruce Creek Loop from the campground on Saturday and it was really nice to see that it had been kept up very well through all this rain that we have had this summer!! SO many trails that we have been to over the last few months have been horrible, so we were REALLY happy to be able to ride safely right from the campground!! That means a lot to have some trails right around the corner so that you don't have to trailer out if you don't want to!! Thanks Donna, Shawn, and Brittany for another WONDERFUL weekend!!

We LOVE True West!! There are many reasons we LOVE True West!! First, they have the cleanest facility of any campground that I have EVER been to, the bathrooms are spotless and are ALWAYS stocked with everything you need, and there is always plenty of hot water no matter how many people have taken showers, and no matter how many people are taking showers the water pressure is always great!! Second, they have the best barn of any campground I have EVER been to, with large open stalls that make your horse feel safe and secure, and you can easily see your horses from your campsite which also makes YOU feel safe and secure!! Third, the True West store is so nice, with LOTS of basic things in case you need something that you may have left behind, and LOTS of horsie gift type items that all of us horse lovers enjoy!! Fourth, True West is centrally located and they are close to SO many trails and trailheads!! No matter what you need at True West Donna, Shawn, and Brittany meet all your concerns with a smile!! They go out of their way make you and your horse feel at home, which to most horse owners is REALLY important!! Not only do I want to be treated like a special guest, but I want my horse to be treated that way too!! I think that if you want a FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE then you should definitely choose True West!!

Spent another wonderful weekend at True West and after being there three days we did NOT want to go home!! Every time we camp with Donna and Shawn we have an incredible time!! We were having such a good time that a couple friends of ours decided to come up and join us for the weekend!! Shawn was kind enough to put shavings in two more stalls for my friends horses within minutes of me telling him that they were coming out to stay with us for the night!! It is SO nice to have the True West store right there when you need something...we ran out of fire starters so we went and got one from the store, then we went and bought a citronella candle to keep the bugs away!! Whatever we needed they had just waiting for us!! I LOVE that True West is right around the corner from SO many trailheads in Big South Fork and that Shawn can tell you exactly how to get there and what kind of trail each one is!! Because there are SO many trailheads, there is a trail for every type of rider from beginner to expert!! And also because there are so many types of trails we were able to go on a trail that was a little more challenging but we were also able to tell some friends of ours about another trail that they could try because they wanted something easier to ride that day!! If you go and stay at True West you will definitely not be disappointed!! We are going back in a few weeks and we cannot wait!!

Had such a wonderful time at True West with my husband and a some friends that I decided to grab a couple more friends and go back the next weekend!!! Wonderful atmosphere - was able to get one of the campsites back by the pond - beautiful view as we sat around and talked the night away! The owners are such great hosts - helped us get the horses settled in the barn and cleaned out our trailer for us when other campgrounds had said that they wouldn't!! They unloaded our hay and tack and helped put it in the barn and then helped us get parked in our campsite! They brought the firewood right to our campsite for us!! I could go on and on about how wonderful this campground is but I think that everyone just needs to go there and experience it for themselves! No one will be disappointed when they go to True West Campground!!!

Have a fantastic time on our second visit to True West!!! The barn at True West Campground is one of the nicest I have seen! Nice sized stalls and a really wide walk way that is kept up really well so it is easy to get your horses in and out! The barn is also Really well lit to see your horses in the early hours of the morning like I like to do, lol I tell everyone I meet to go camp at True West and see how great it is! We will definitely be back to True West again in the future!!!

We had a wonderful experience at True West Campground! When we arrived they cleaned out our trailer and unloaded our hay while we got the horses settled! The barn was beautiful, well kept with large isle ways and well lit stalls! The stalls were a very nice size and were clean and had new shavings in them, we were also lucky to be able to get shavings for free when we needed them, which I have never heard of at any other campground!! The bathrooms are the cleanest I have ever seen at any campground!! The campites are large and well kept! The trails are right across the street! Overall our stay at True West was wonderful and I would reccommend them to anyone :)
