A.H. Stephens State Parks, near Crawfordville, GA

AH Stephens has been hard at work putting in new camping sites with water. Really nice level sites with pinic tables and fire rings. No electric hookups yet but they hope to have some soon. They have great poles for your picket lines. The trails are well marked and very easy. Only problem with the trails is there are not enough!

I love riding here except when I come upon guys hunting. There should be NO HUNTING allowed where there are people walking and horsebackriding. The guys are usually creepy and seem mad that I am even there. What is up with this??? The trails are very poorly marked but great to ride along on. I highly recommend riding with a partner and marking the trail yourself with ribbons on trees so as not to get lost. Parking areas should be bigger so more folks can use the trails at the same time.

Have been here many times. Great trails, pretty area of the state.Very nice people. They have two rentals that are really nice. Camping sites are out in the open. Trees are planted but have years to grow into shade trees!
