Just returned from another great trip at KC Ranch. Trails are challenging in places and easy in others...plenty of water crossings. I absolutely love the bluffs! Food was once again, fantastic. Ken, Carol, their daughter, and their grandchildren do a great job hosting when a meal package is offered. Looking forward to my next visit! |

I love riding in the Cohutta Mtns. The trails here are beautiful. There is everything from beginner to expert trails. I live about an hour away from the Cottonwood Patch and Iron Mtn trail. This is one of my favorite trails. But almost all the trails here are good. |

OH MY!!! if you have ridden the rest of the shawnee forest and NOT HIgh KNob. You really need to ride the best!!!! the campground has made HUGE improvements, the owners and the "help" will bend over backwards if you are in need of anything, and best of all~~~the riding is the best in So Ill. I have been to all the campgrounds down there and they are all great, BUT this is the best. Riders are under huge bluffs with in 7 min of leaving camp,The hollows, caves, the lake, canyons are just breathtaking. HIGH KNOB is a Must go to place. Once you have been there, you will have to go back. |

IN RESPONSE TO SMOKING IN THE BARN. THERE IS A "NO SMOKING" IN THE BARN RULE AT MTS. AS A MATTER OF FACT, BASICALLY THAT IS THE ONLY RULE. MTS IS A GREAT PLACE WITH TAMMIE & PHIL BEING TWO OF THE NICEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET. THEIR GOAL IS FOR EVERYONE WHO COMES TO "FEEL AT HOME" IF IS UNFORTUNEATE THAT SOMEONE DID NOT FOLLOW THAT "COMMON SENSE" RULE. WE HAVE BEEN CAMPING WITH OUR HORSES FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A PLACE THAT CAN EVEN COMPARE WITH MTS. CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK |

Beautiful country...trails were clearly marked and well maintained and the scenery was awesome. Rick and Jill were like family from the minute we arrived. Very nice tack shop, bathrooms and showers. Will go back as often as I can |

I have been trail riding in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia and I have to say that the Double J ranch in Whitmire, SC is, by far, the best all around equine facility I have ever ridden. I don't know that Dave and Janis would call their wonderful facility an "All Inclusive" ranch, but if there is such a thing, the Double J c...ertainly meets and surpasses any standard you will experience! The annual spring and fall "Wet-N-Wild" ride is like an all-inclusive vacation. The hospitality they exude is genuine, the trails are awesome with river encounters and the food is great. It is also one of the only year-round places you can go and ride anytime. We will definitely keep going to the Double J for all the pleasantries again and again! Thank you!!! |
