We did not stay at the campgroud but rode out from the trailhead for a day long trail ride. The area was very diverse...going form open areas to very narrow tree covered trails between sand berms. Great place to experience different terrains on horseback. |

Nice trails for a young horse or beginning trail rider. Very hot last weekend, with no water for the horses on the trail or at parking site. Little shade, best ridden in the Fall or Winter months. Lots of bugs and is very wet during the summer months. Nice easy ride. |

This is a great place for endurance riders to train and green horse to log some safe miles. The trails are mostly single sand tracks through the vastly open areas. The weather is important factor to consider when riding...I would not consider riding in hot or wet weather. The horse camping area is seperated from the main campsite with no bathhouse and only one bathroom. However you camp next to the paddocks with your horses in full view. The Campsites also include a picnic table, fire ring and level ground for both tent or campers. The staff was very freindly and helpful. We'll be back to camp and enjoy a ride in the quiet openness of the park as the weather get cooler. |

We had the whole place to ourselves. Richard was a great host and makes you feel like one of the family. The trails were wet during our stay, but nice anyway. The trails system across from them were closed for a vetern's hunt, but neighbor, Rick maded up for it by taking us on a 2 hour ride through areas only known by the locals. The farm's history was interesting and added to the experience. We'll be back. |

Just returned from our stay at the Stables of Goethe. The campsite area is small with little privacy and campers/trailers parked close together. All the Guests got along and had a "Chili Cookout" the last night we stayed. The barn is very nice w/wash racks, feeders, and fans. The paddocks are large, but are mostly sand. The trails are right outside the rear gate of the campsite area, with miles of shaded riding on excellent footing for your horses. The owners are nice w/ "Chili Master" Grandmother living in the cabin overseeing things. This is a good place for a samll group to stay or if you enjoy meeting people as part of your camping experience. |

This was our fourth time to this area in four years and still love it. It is the best riding in Florida. The local riding club has added several new trails in areas not used before, but the maps have not been printed yet so we didn't see most of them. The camp sites are great and the Rangers are very helpfull. The stalls were full but there was plenty of room for everyone. We plan on being back in the winter to see the all the new trails. |

My wife and I stayed at Our Father's Haven this past weekend and was very impressed with the accommodations and hospitality the owners, Gary and Joanne. The whole place is brand new with plenty of space for horses and trailers...our paddock was a 3 acre pasture!! The stalls are very clean, safe, and next to the rooms. The trail riding entrances are located at the end of the driveway with miles of area to explore. We rode a total of 22 miles in two days and did not see it all. The rooms are two room suites with your own bathroom/shower. The food was all handmade and served hot. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the outdoors (with or without your horse) or to just relax, while having all the comforts of home this is the place. We will be back..... |

This was our first trip out of state and chose to go HLC because of all the good things we had hear about it. We were not disappointed. The Campsite Host, Ron, was great. He helped us settle in and provided alot of useful information about the area and things to do. The trails were rocky in places, but our Fl Quarter hores had no problems going without shoes. Saw alot of deer, beautiful creeks, and met some nice people during our stay. The campsites are drive through, with a picnic table, and fire ring. We'll be back but will stay a few more days to realy enjoy all they have to offer. |

First trip to SC and was not disappointed at Broxton Bridge. We have the whole place to ourselves and received first class service...right down to having our campfire set up with wood and starter when we returned from a late ride. Met owner, Jerry and several others who checked on us during our two day stay. We will be back for a longer stay on our next trip north. |
