Jim was a WONDERFUL host! He made sure we had firewood and were settled in nicely. He was thrilled to show off the trails, and made sure we had a good time. Positives: Jim was GREAT!!! Campground was very clean, an indoor arena to play in, clean showers and bathroom. Scenery was WONDERFUL. Absolutely beautiful. Negatives: No shade at camp. I wouldn't use the outdoor stalls in the summer as there is no shade. Indoor stalls in the arena would probably be ok. Trails were very washed out when we went (it rained all spring) and it was over an hour ride to the river (1200 feet elevation, for those keeping track at home!) Overall: Make sure your horse is in shape and has shoes. If you want a nice leisurely easy trail, this is not for you. If you want beautiful views and don't mind rough trails and rocks, this is the place for you!

WONDERFUL hosts! They go out of their way to make sure everything goes smooth. Campground is very clean. The stalls are nice and do not allow for escapees! Food is EXCELLENT! It is a family campground, everyone is asleep by ten. The tack shop is small but varied. Downsides to the campground are the lack of shade and the hills. Bring lots of boards to level the trailer, and getting from your trailer to the horses can be a challenge. The only problem with the trails is the lack of marking or maps. They are hilly, but not challenging footing wise. Beautiful scenery, wonderful people, I will go back.

Owners are wonderful! Rick remembers everyone by name and is very helpful! Campground is level and the new bathroom and shower house is very nice. Downside to the campground is lack of area for the horses. There are picket poles, but they are in the middle of a field with no shade. The treeline is available to tie horses, but the trees will not last long, they have been chewed on by too many horses. If the campground is not busy (we went during a weekend with an event) you could have a portable corral under trees. Trails are nice, but not marked well. They are currently working on new trails, and hopefully will get some marked. River is nice to splash in after a ride and to water your horse, as there is only one faucet in the campground. I will go back, but it's basically primitive camping with a shower house and some electric. Be sure to check to see that the low-water bridge is low enough to cross! The last few miles of driving are challenging, and would be impossible with a large trailer (there is another way, I've heard it is also long and difficult) Overall, nice people and pretty views, but lacking in places to keep horses.

Nice well maintained trails, very nice variety of trail footing. Maps available online and are mostly accurate. Trails are easy to medium (in my opinion anyway!) Campground is primitive only, there is some shade around the outside of the field, and there are trees to highline horses to. A creek runs nearby to water the horses.
