Beautiful cabin overlooking a nice swim worthy pond. Very private and therapeutic. Trails were wide, roomy, and scenic. Horse shoes not needed. A definite repeat!

Horse Heaven Ranch, near Talihina, OK

Riding the trails during the fall is breathtaking. Some of the trails were very rocky to include large boulders. Not so much fun. However, there are a lot of other nice, scenic trails with shallow water crossings in which to choose. The cabins and stalls could use repairs. Stalls do not drain rain water well. Horses stood in water for three days. Cabins include outdoor grills, which are a nice perk but have limited cooking utensils. If cooking, bring your own knives and cutting board.

Robber's Cave Equestrian Camp, near Wilburton, OK

The cabins were very nice and were able to sit around a camp fire every night. Wonderful! The trails were not well marked. Trail maps provided at check-in, in addition to scarves purchased for $8 with trails identified did not match the actual trails. Very disappointing. Felt "robbed" at "Robbers Cave"! The trails provided by the office were labeled and numbered. Although some of the trails matched, most were color-coded adding to the confusion. It was very easy to find yourself on a hiking trail instead of an equestrian trail. Not so much fun...big boulders. The actual equestrian trails are pretty nice once we found them.
