This is an update to my earlier review, as I can’t seem to edit my entry. There is no camping at this site currently. Parts of the park are under construction. Use the back gate to enter (marked clearly with a sign) as the main gate is closed. Follow the drive around to the parking area. The trail head is to the west/right hand end of the parking area. Head towards the large pond and turn right to begin the trail. The trail is freshly marked with white and red/white arrows. There’s a little over 7 miles of trail at this time. It is beautiful and well-maintained by the owner, Cherokee Nation Businesses. You do not have to be a tribal citizen to ride here. Watch for all kinds of wildlife. It is typical to see deer, rabbits, armadillos, pelicans and bald eagles. You are welcome to ride across the land dam on the east side or the large pond but please avoid riding in the adjacent construction area.....more info

Would be nice to have a suggestion box just incase someone finds something that needs fixed. Then Chris can check it frequently and fix a problem when he has time instead of people trying to chase him down to tell him, ie boards popped off between stalls.....more info

Place has lots of potential, but… Piles and piles of stuff everywhere. Other comments mentioned it was that it was a quiet place, yes, people on the campground are very quiet and respectful. But not so quit when the neighbours dogs (on all sides of the property) aren’t barking at every hour of the day and evening, when a train ain’t passing, even at 10:30 pm, or traffic of highway 1. But the climax is when the neighbours started shooting his revolver, mind you, they’re only 75 feet away from the back of our trailer… scary! Trail entry is a bit more than half a mile away, by roads, but they are really beautiful, spacious and safe. Horses had a nice sized paddock with shelter, but it was quite a challenge to pick up their manure and keep it clean due to all the dead leaves, pine needles, pine cones, old hay and manure, so took us 2 days of picking it all up and cleaning their space. You’re welcome! Site is good sized to, easy coming in and out, but took a day of raking dead leaves and pine needles away, and even after cleaning it up, we continued to find, daily, chards of broken glass, so not pet friendly. Again, you’re welcome! We had planned to be there for 1 month, but decided to leave after 3 weeks. A “respectful” host would have had the site cleaned up before our arrival. We were under the impression we had paid to do the clean up. Oh, and no “Thankyou” or “Sorry, I didn’t to do it before you arrived” it was as if it was expected from us. So, once again, you’re welcome! We were told by the owner that, quote “people around here are nasty”…it just makes us wonder, why? If you demand respect, you gotta expect to respect in return.....more info
