Trail Description |
primitive campground with 13 sites on a 1st come, 1st served basis. His n Hers pit toilet, graveled sites with picnic tables, fire rings & lantern hangers. The Back Country Horsemen of Pisgah maintains this site in the Pisgah Ranger District of the Pisgah NF and has been working to improve the overnigh accommidations for the horses by securing funding for & building sustainable high line systems. Please pick up after your horse! |

Directions |
From the intersection of Hwy 276 & Hwy 280 & Hwy 64 in east of Brevard, NC, travel north on Hwy 276 into the Pisgah Ranger District @ 13 miles, past the "Pink Bed" parking area on the left, take your next left onto Rd 1206 (gravel). Go 3.1 miles and take your 1st right, @ 100 ft, take a left thru a double silver gate into the horse camp (you'll see a sign). The trails are accessed by continuing down that secondary gravel road to the trail head @ the Gaging Station to S. Mills River. There are several loop trails available, from 12 miles to 25 or so miles or more! |
