Trail Description |
Open Forest for riding. Trail around Snake Lake plus various old logging roads to ride. Moderate and more difficult terrain, depending on where you travel. Pick up a Plumas National Forest map at the Mt. Hough Ranger Station to assist with your ride plans. |

This site has been existing for years. Horse camp sites have been added in the last couple of years. This is a multi-use camp. No Fee. Water for the horses can be dipped from the lake or they may be watered at the water crossing area. Horses are not allowed to enter the lake. |

Directions |
Hwy. 70/89 Quincy - Take the Bucks Lake Rd. (County Rd. 411 towards Bucks Lake) go approximately 5 to 6 miles. Turn right on Snake Lake Rd. (you will cross over a green bridge) County Rd. 435, go approximately 2 miles to the camp. If you drive on up to Bucks Lake - Summit Parking area(10 mi. +-)you can access various beautiful trails as well as the PCT. |
