Trail Description Double and single track sandy trails as well as graded roads to ride. Fair amount of deep sand in trails, especially during dry season. Very pleasant experience for the most part. Unfortunately, you will find trash on some trails, especially near public access points.
Best Time to Visit Fall through spring except during hunting seasons.
Times to Avoid Gun hunting season. Call the Ranger District or Florida State Wildlife for information.
Campground Doe Lake Campground is primarily for group camping (fee and advance reservations) There is primitive camping reachable by horse or small rig (e.g. Pickup camper and trailer ). There are a number of private horse camps adjacent to the forest. Call the Ranger District for information. They are very helpful.
