Trail Description Small amount of beginner trails, most are intermediate to difficult, not terrifically maintained. Nice overlooks at some of the high altitudes. All in all, it is a fun place to camp but hard for gaited horses if you want to be able to really enjoy the gait, very hilly and steep in areas. Trails go for miles!
Best Time to Visit
Times to Avoid
Campground Campground has two water sites, two pit toilets (one is new, just recently added last summer), also a water site for spraying horses/trailers clean, but no electric or showers. Campground is small but I hear that they may be adding on to in the future. Often, you need to rent sites on Thursday in the summer to ensure you will have it for the weekend. You must place a tent, vehicle or such on the site in order for it to be considered occupied. There is metal hitching posts for horses. It is secluded on dead end road in the Hoosier Forestry there in Henryville. No staff is on hand on weekends, only there on weekdays till 4 or so, last I heard the price had gone up from $8 to a little more, but still economical.
