Trail Description: Lots of open country to ride, old roads that will take you through high desert terrain with sage brush and forest. I love to explore this area in the late spring and fall. Elevation is about 6,000 +-. You can ride gently sloping, level or mountainous terrain from this area. You can also trailer out for the day and ride miles and miles of old logging roads. I would suggest picking up a Plumas National Forest map for guidance. Hope you enjoy the area as much as we do. This location is one of our annual camp spots.

There is an area about a half acre that is fenced and gated that contains 6 nice wood horse pens, picnic table and fire ring. We camp in this spot with our horses. About 400' away is the established campground with about 8 sites with tables, fire pits, back in parking, a well with a hand pump for water and a restroom (no spaces for horses here) No Fee at this camp. This site was changed to allow horses about 5 years ago and is hardly used, check it out it's pretty nice. It is in the Plumas National Forest.
