Trail Description: FREE! to ride and camp. Trails are wide enough to ride side by side. Mostly shaded, camp gounds are primitive and well shaded can accomidate about 10 trailers at each camp ground. Trails are nice rolling with some good climbs. Trails connect to each camp.

Oakmulgee is the western district of Talladega National Forest and is between Centerville and Maplesville, AL. Oakmulgee National Forest offers 2 campgrounds with primitive horse camping. Maddox Hunters Camp & Mud Cut Horse camp. Maddox Hunters camp can also be used by equestrians as well during non hunting season. There is no fee to ride or camp. But we request that you pack out all of your trash and leave no fires burning when you leave.
