Trail Description: Good trails that run along the Ocmulgee River. Mostly sand land, no shoes required for horses. Nice sandbar on the river for good picnic and swimming opportunies. There are several places along the trail for watering horses.
Primitive camping with no water available at the campsite for horses or humans. There are telephone poles lying on their sides around the camping area to define a "no horse" zone. No horses area allowed within the poles. Horses must be picketed outside the poles. Bring your own rope and tree savers - do not tie horses to trees or risk being fined. There is no fee for camping or riding.
