Trail Description: Well developed trail system. Trails are groomed and well marked. Most of the trails are rated by the USFS as "More Difficult". The Caney Loop Trail would be rated "Easy" using our ratings. We would rate parts of the Sheltowee Trail, which runs from one end of the Daniel Boone to the other, as "Challenging." So, you have a lot of variety and, a fair amount of up and down, which gives the horses a good workout. All-in-all, a great place to ride for the experienced rider and horse.
Primitive with gravel pads for rigs. There are picket lines and tie stalls. There is a concrete water barrel for horses but we've been warned to bring our own horse water, as the barrel may have been used by sick horses. There is water on the trail.
