Trail Description: Well developed trail system with mostly groomed and well marked trails. While not especially steep, a fair amount of up and down requires well conditioned stock. Some of the most scenic riding in Ohio. Trail maps available from Ranger office on Rt 93 just north of turn-in. Trail riding requires a DAY USE FEE OF $5.00 per rider; or SEASON PASS OF $25.00. Purchase at the ranger station or the store just as you turn into the Lake Vesuvius Recreation Area (see directions).
Paddle Creek is primitive. A toilet is scheduled to be installed in May or June 2002, weather permitting. Stream water available for horses, although check with the ranger district during dry season. There is no well at this camp. The camp site and trails were exceptionally clean when we visited in early May 2002.
