Trail Description: 3 trails leave from camp, but connect to many other trails. Many of trails are wide enough for two riders, but there are some steep climbs, rocks and many water crossings. Trails lead to scenic overlooks, caves, O&W RR bed, which goes along the white water river. Trails are marked well. The scenary is breath-taking year round. You get a different view in different seasons. O&W is great for gaited horses.

Sites are reasonably level, clean bathhouse, water/electric, dump station, stalls (pickets if stall are taken). The owners are horse people and have built a nice camp that will accomodate the needs of horse people (including large/long rigs). We have camped there many times and have never had a problem with routy campers. One of the owners was always on site to take care of any problem we might have had and handle any routy campers before things could get out of hand. We have been there on holiday weekends when the camp was full and they seemed to be ready for the crowd and everything seemed to go smoothly. On some ocasions they have a Bar-B-Que or other special events. However, the riding and the camp is what keeps us coming back year after year. There is very good access to the trails at Big South Fork. The camp is located on a private road and the trail head into Big South Fork is a very short distance. You can be to the river (O&W RR) in an hour. The owners know the trails well and are glad to give advice regarding directions or difficulty or conditions of trails. They also have maps of the area with the trails marked on them. We have found that the trails themselves are marked well and it does not take long to learn your way around. There are other trails that you can trailer to if you want, but we have always found enough riding from the camp to keep us busy.
