Trail Description: Dupont State Forest is North Carolina's newest and most visited state forests. The trails go from very easy groomed trails to the more difficult trails that are off the beaten path. This is a multi-use facitlity (no motorized vehicals) so please be aware that there will be foot traffic, bike traffic and horses. Pets MUST be on a leash...strictly enforced.
The Walk Inn is a privetly owned house that sleeps 3 couples and the barn accomodates 6 horses. There is access to Dupont State Forest from the house, but to see all of the forests trails, hauling might become nessesary. Primitve camping by the Little River is available and limited trailer facilities for overnight travelers.
