Trail Description |
The Walls of Jericho has a 11-mile riding trail that starts from the southern parking area on HWY 79. Following the trail around will take riders down John Gifford Hollow into the valley of Hurricane Creek and along its banks until the confluence of Turkey Creek.back up. |

There are two primitive camping areas on the Walls of Jericho hiking trail. The first area is on the north end of the hiking parking lot and has room for six to eight tent sites. The second is located on Hurricane Creek next to Clark Cemetery and has room for eight tent sites. Both locations are free of charge and are available on a first-come, first- served basis. Fires are allowed but must be extinguished before leaving and all trash must be removed. |

Directions for Horseback Trail Parking:
From Scottsboro, take US 72 West approximately 4.8 miles to AL-79. Turn right on to AL- 79 and travel north approximately 25 miles to the horseback riding trail parking lot.
