| Trail Description |
Private camp trails access the Forche Mountain Trails (Formerly Mill Creek Equestrian Trails). There are mountain views, abandoned silver mines, beautiful rock formations, plenty of creek crossings and miles and miles of endless riding. Even a waterfall or 2. Rides can range from a short one hour ride to a day full of riding! The Ouachita National Forest is absolutely beautiful. There are about 50 miles marked currently but more marked are being added constantly. No limit to unmarked, possibilities are endless! The Campground borders thousands of acres of Ouachita National Forest. Trails rate from easy to challenging. There's something for everyone! |

Idle Nook is a new horse camp that is still a work in progress. The camp offers a peaceful setting nestled at the base of Buck Knob Mountain. From the campground you can access the Fourche Mountain Trails (Formerly Mill Creek Equestrian Trails). There 22 water and 30 amp electric hookups with stalls, (50 amp service on 2 of those sites), 2 shower houses a bunkhouse and a karaoke stage for nightly entertainment. There is a huge forest service pond that borders the camp for those that want to throw a hook in! Please call ahead for reservations! We are currently working on building our new pavilion! |
