Trail Description |
Take a one in a life time journey back in time as you trail ride the scenic Merced River canyon "Ten Thousand Dollar road" leading to the history of "the Great California Gold Rush of 1849." This scenic trail will take you past fresh mountain spring waterfalls, with million dollar views only our pioneers were fortunate enough to see as you journey past a herd of Amercian Bison, "placer mines", old grave sites, and gold mining equipment left behind over 120 years ago. You will be able to pan for gold with legendary "ole' Gerry Edwards" recognized for his ablitiy to treasure hunt and find gold with "old fashion accuracy!" In the evening, join in on an old fashion "cookout" and some "cowboy poetry" as you gaze at the stars along side your campfire. In the morning we will trail ride back up to the "Old Log Corral" and complete our adventure on "Ten Thousand Dollar road" - the trail of "rags to riches of 1849!" |
