Trail Description |
Throughout the Okanagan-Similkameen area, there remain abandoned railway beds from the former Kettle Valley Railway and Burlington Northern railways. The growing popularity in outdoor recreational activities, such as hiking, biking, driving, walking, mountain biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling, has increased the interest in converting of these railway beds into trails - rails to trails. These trails range from paved and partly paved to unpaved.
