Trail Description |
Fairly rigorous riding on mostly single track through mixed hardwood and pine forest. The Silver Arrow trail, which follows several ridge tops, offers beautiful vistas of an area sometimes referred to as "The Little Smokies of Ohio" because the view of the rolling hills reminds one of The Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. The trails can be challenging in places with some fairly steep places. Your horses should be in good condition for this ride. Most of the riding however, I would rate "More Difficult." |
Best Time to Visit |
Especially nice in the fall when the leaves are turning |
Times to Avoid |
Can be muddy in the spring. Also hunting is allowed. Check for seasons. |
Campground |
Primitive campground with camp sites marked on a paved Forest Service road. Horses are picketed accross the road from the camp site but are no further than 50 feet or so from you rigs. |
