Trail Description |
With over 200 miles of trails within The Big South Fork River & Recreation Area, you will see varied terrain and landscapes, with views of awesome gorges and sandstone rock formations, creeks and waterfalls. The trail footing is comprised mostly of dirt and sand, with some mild rocky areas, especially around and through creeks. You can even cross the Big South Fork of the Cumberland River. Although the area is rugged, the trails are well-constructed. Some old dirt-and-gravel roads and railroad beds are also designated trails. For trails that are too far for you to ride out and back in the same day, trailer to the trailheads located throughout BSF and the bordering Pickett State Park. Our access to The Big South Fork trail system is a short ride nearby that will lead you to Hicks Ridge Trail, Hippy Cave Trail, Sawtooth Ridge Trail, Proctor Ridge Trail, Wild Cat Den Trail and on to Spruce Creek and more without even trailering out. Our trail access will connect you to virtually every trail in The Big South Fork National River & Recreational Area! |

Campground |
The Four C's of The Big South Fork, is a petite campground with 1 cabin and 2 RV sites. Some people prefer to not be in the larger campgrounds and want their privacy a little more. We do NOT have a bath house but our campsites do offer septic disposal.
The Four C's stands for Cozy, Country, Camping and Cabin. Peaceful and quiet, a perfect laid back location to get away from it all. We offer a nice, cozy, fully furnished cabin with screened in kitchen, outside on the rear of the cabin. All linens and towels are provided for your use. Inside the cabin you will find a nice small refrigerator/freezer, microwave and coffee maker while the outside kitchen has everything you need to cook and eat your favorite meals. We also have a nice gas grill available for your use. The cabin can sleep four people comfortably upstairs in the bedroom. It is furnished with a queen sized bed, a futon with additional padding and a single bed. Gas heat and two air conditioners keep the cabin the exact temperature you want. New Fiber Optic Wi-fi for your use (just ask for password), Dish Network wth 250 channels and a collection of over 300 DVD movies for your enjoyment. If you have Verizon as your cel phone provider, our Verizon booster will allow you to have cel service up here on the plateau, which is not easy to find. There is an outside fire pit with a large supply of wood for that wonderful evening fire everyone enjoys.
For those with LQ horse trailers, we have two full service RV camping spots with water, electric (30 amp) and septic . We offer for your convenience, an older, safe, steel, three horse slant load gooseneck trailer for your use. This is a nice amenity to have so you don't have to disconnect your water, electric & septic on your rig whenever you feel like riding different trail heads.
We have two barns to choose from, each has a safe paddock for your horses to move around and not have to be stalled whenever you’re not riding them. The large barn also has a large shelter which will provide cover to your horses if you decide you’d prefer to leave them out. The small barn has 3 large stalls and a small wooden storage shed if you choose to store your feed, hay and tack. The large barn currently has 4 stalls and a secure feed room to store your feed and tack. Our round pen is available for your use. Wash rack with cross ties to rinse or bathe your horses inside the barn.
