Trail Description |
Park sits on the Robert S. Kerr Reservoir with scenic views of water, meadows, cliffs and woodlands. Trails follow the shoreline and traverse the park. Barefoot friendly with abundant wildlife. Additional trails are planned. Park is 800 acres in size. |

Campground |
National Cherokee Nation Park is a welcoming primitive equestrian camp . A 20-stall barn is available for overnight stays. Please bring your own feed, water and bedding, and clean stalls after use. Portapotties are available. The park is under development and will begin installing electric sites and water, plus shower and bath house in summer of 2017. Caretaker on site. Gate is closed after hours. Open to the public, no cost for riding or camping. Motorized vehicles prohibited on the trails. Please keep dogs on a leash. |

Directions |
Park is located just 3.5 miles south off Interstate 40 at exit 303 (Dwight Mission Exit). Between Sallisaw and Vian, Oklahoma, take exit 303 onto Dwight Mission Road and continue south until you run into the park entrance. Parking for trailers is available near the barn on the left hand side and also further along the park road. |
