Trail Description This trail leads out directly from the barn and follows Big Bug Creek south for a quarter mile, then heads up the ridge, opening up to a spectacular panoramic view of the surounding high desert terrain- on most days you can see for 20 miles or more from this trail.Youll see an abundance of prickly pear cactus and other desert vegetation and youre likely to see and hear a variety of native critters along the way.

Times to Avoid
Campground Dry camping (no hookups) in sage brush/trees along Big Bug Creek. Horse corrals, feed and water available at barn. Portable pens at campsite.

 Challenging (Possible rocky, uneven surface, steep slopes, uncleared trails, faster flowing streams and other obstacles that lead to more difficult riding for rider and horse)
