| Trail Description |
You get it all here! Easy to difficult, and rigorous. Campground is large rig accessible. Water is supplied in the summer from hand pumps, and there is a spring in the corner of camp that runs all the time, bring buckets. Bring your own human consumption water. There are so many trails here not all side trails are marked. Fir trees, maples, and hardwoods. Multiple strem crossings, these are very rocky, and you must cross. If your horse is not comfortable with fast water crossings this is not for you. Don't cross if the water is high. This is not for the inexperienced rider. Your horse must trust you and you must trust your horse. My dogs love it here. Many steep hills with narrow trails, rocks, and lots of water. Caves, lookout trails on rims of steep hollows. Over 100 primitive campsites. Watchout for the wild cherry trees in camp. Picket lines, dump areas for horse biscuits. Pit toilets. Handicapped mounting, handicapped trails, and handicapped toilets. If you are an experienced rider, you must check this place out. Beautiful!!! Probably should have your horse shod. |
