Lots of rocks for mules to climb along trails for horse riders. 80% of the trails are in the Ponderosa Pines with some open land riding through the hills. TC Horse Camp is next to a 30 mile stretch of the George S. Mickelson trail that is an old railroad bed or ride to the Mt. Rushmore Via the Centennial Trail.
