Trail Description |
Double and single track sandy trails as well as graded roads to ride. Fair amount of deep sand in trails, especially during dry season. Very pleasant experience for the most part. Unfortunately, you will find trash on some trails, especially near public access points. |

Fall through spring except during hunting seasons. |
Times to Avoid |
Gun hunting season. Call the Ranger District or Florida State Wildlife for information. |
Campground |
Doe Lake Campground is primarily for group camping (fee and advance reservations) There is primitive camping reachable by horse or small rig (e.g. Pickup camper and trailer ). There are a number of private horse camps adjacent to the forest. Call the Ranger District for information. They are very helpful. |

Directions |
There are multiple trail heads. Most are in the area of the intersection of Route 19 and 42 east of Ocala. All trails are located in the southern third of the forest. |
