Trail Description |
Generally beginner to intermediate trails, not rocky. "The Daily Pie" restaurant open for lunch & pie. Small abandoned settler site on the old "Top of the World" wagon trail. Also riding through the pinion and cedars where elk roam. Summer weather very mild and pleasant. Good weather from mid April through Thanksgiving. |

Full RV hookups including water, septic & 20/30/50 electrical hookups. Bathroom with hot shower, sink, and washer & dryer. Stalls available, big arena, round pens. In Quemado 30 minutes from horse camp: Gas station with diesel & regular gas, small convenience store, and hardware store. |

Directions |
Directions from Albuquerque: - Head south on I-25 to Socorro. - Exit into Socorro and take US Hwy 60 west towards Magdalena. - Go through Magdalena and Datil. Proceed through Pie Town. After passing mile marker 50, take the 2nd RIGHT onto a gravel road. (The first one is only about 200 feet long). If you get to mile marker 49, you've gone too far. Then take the gravel road a little over 1 mile. Turn RIGHT onto dirt road till deadends through green gates. Follow road to log house for check in.
From ARIZONA: Take 60 highway headed east entering New Mexico (no horse station stops). Go through the town of Quemado and past Omega. After passing mile marker 49, turn LEFT onto gravel road just a little over 1 mile. Then turn RIGHT onto dirt road for 1.5 miles till deadends into property (well maintained road). After going past the green gates, proceed up to log house for check in and directions to Horse Camp which is approximately .5 miles further.
