Trail Description |
Trails weave through the mild hill country, along and across creeks. With the exception of the few places volunteers have messed with the trail, it is beautiful.
Trails are not difficult except for novices out of control. There are 2 official loops, one 18 miles, one 2o miles, or the combined 23 miles. There are unofficial loops of 2.5 miles, 3.5 miles, & 5 miles. More info on these at http://www.startemright.com/articles/20091201041150.html

Campground |
There is a restroom facility, and two or three water spigots. There are tie racks for horses, but most are accidents waiting to happen. I would suggest tying to one's trailer. I have put up overhead lines and single tape electric corrals to no objection. |

Directions |
From Greenwood: Drive south on McCormick Highway (SC 10) 7.7 miles and turn right onto Cedar Springs Road (Greenwood County S-24-47) and the Fell Hunt Club is 2.4 miles on the left.
From Abbeville: Drive south on Cedar Springs South (Abbeville County S -1- 33) for 8.0 miles. Bear left onto Cedar Springs Road (Greenwood County S-24-47) and the Fell Hunt Club is 1.5 miles on the right.
From Anderson: South on 28. Just before Abbeville, 28 splits to go either through the town, or loops west around Abbeville. I suggest the loop around. Just follow and don't turn until abt 2 miles south of the 2nd traffic signal. Then turn left on Parsons Mountain road.
In abt 3 miles there will be a "T" intersection; turn Right onto Cedar Spring Road. In abt four miles Fell Hunt Campground will be on the right.
