Trail Description |
Unsurfaced, grassy, 6 hours by horse. The 19-mile loop trail traverses a wide array of habitat types, from mature longleaf pine stands to bottomland hardwood drains, and offers captivating scenery to visitors. Horseback riders may glimpse prothonotary warblers darting among the trees. Jericho Horse Trail trailhead is closed for renovation, but the trail itself is open for use.The first bridge between Hell Hole Road, FSR 158 and HWY 41 is closed for repair. Campground |
No camping at trailhead. Free dispersed camping permits (required) are available at district offices. A free, dispersed camping permit is available by contacting the district office at,(843) 336-2200 Monday - Friday.

Directions |
From Moncks Corner, take SC Route 402 east to SC Route 41. Turn left and continue seven miles to the trailhead on the left.
