Trail Description This is the best State Park in KS for horseback riders. The campground has several full hookup sites, the only thing they are missing is septic but there is a dump station very near by. The water is on all year throughout the park, there are very safe horse pens (we left ours penned up one afternoon and ran into Ellsworth, they have a really cool period clothing store and hat shop). The terrain is sandy and limestone mixed so riding during the spring and fall, typically rainy seasons in KS, is not hampered. Pack a lunch and ride out to the Corp Of Engineer land, this is one of our favorite places to ride.

Campground All levels of camping are available in this park. There is a solar bathhouse, so don't plan on a very hot shower after dark. The sites are level and each has a sturdy hitching post as well as a picinic table and fire ring. I've never seen an official camp host but the park rangers do come through at least once a day.
