| Trail Description |
Remote scenic trails are along the ruggedly beautiful Missouri River breaks located in central South Dakota. The north trail takes you past a large buffalo herd, prairie dog town, and an old Indian burial ground. Along the trail you can see eagles, coyotes, antelope, deer, and many other kinds of animals living in their natural environment. The experienced trail guide will tell you the amazing history of the area from bygone horse days up to the present time. Trail rides can be customized to suit your time constraints whether you want to ride for a couple of hours or a couple of days. Some of our guests choose to ride out a few miles and camp overnight in tents, fish for the evening meal of Walleye, Bass or Trout, enjoy coffee and stories around a blazing campfire and ride back in the next day. The south trail leads you along the Missouri River past an ancient (600 year old) American Indian massacre site and buffalo jump. We are always ready to help you choose the best trail for your needs. We have a chuch wagon available to cater your overnight and breakfast camp meals or you can arrange to make your own brown bag pack lunch. You should bring and ride your own mount because we presently have a limited number of trail horses. Overnight pens and feed are available. |

There are many developed Corp of Engineer campground sites as well as a modern motel in the area. There are also free undeveloped sites where you can set up camp. Trails are open from May 1st through September 1st. |
