Trail Description Branched Oak Lake features approximately 10 miles of mowed trails running along the south side of the lake from Area 2 and another 6 miles from Area 3. You’ll find some wide grass trails and other trails into the trees. Great views! Park management has asked that no horses be allowed on the beaches. Shared trails with hikers and bikers. Area 2 has just opened a premier equestrian camp complete with corrals, water and electrical hookups. (Primitive also available in Area 2). Area 3 is primitive camping with restrooms and water. Campground There are 15 sites with electrical hookups and drive thru parking. Vault bathroom & running water. Corrals for horses and a handicapped mounting ramp. Primitive camping is just to the north of the campground.

(Gently sloping or level terrain; trails are groomed or wide open; shallow or no creek crossings. ) 
 More Difficult (Moderate hills over consistent surface; possibly some narrow trails and short steeper slopes) 
 Rigorous (Easy to More Difficult for rider but physically challenging for horse such as on a level surface through deep sand) 
 Challenging (Possible rocky, uneven surface, steep slopes, uncleared trails, faster flowing streams and other obstacles that lead to more difficult riding for rider and horse)
