| Trail Description |
At Iron Mountain Horse Camp we have flat trails for the not so professional riders to the trails used for endurance ride's. Lots of shallow streams to cross. In midsummer The flowers are breath taking. Ride just out our back gate you are on the Virginia Highland Horse Trail, that will lead you to hours of riding in the Jefferson National Forest. We love to accompany new groups to show them the trails when possible. |

| Campground |
The campground is bordered by a running stream at your campsite. Fire barrels are provided for campfires. Shade trees at most campsites and a fishing pond for the younger family members to wet their hooks. The bath house has 6 showers and a private dressing area, six toilets. It is heated for the cool nights and thermostatically contolled fans to keep the breeze flowing in the summer. Our barn has 78 individual (12x12) stalls, freshly bedded on your arrival. A wash bay with hot and cold water is provided for your horse's comfort. There is a Tack Shop that can supply the trail rider with every need, from Eli Miller saddles to leg wraps and buckets with everything in between. We also provide a dump station for your convience.

| Directions |
Easy entrance from Interstate 81, at exit 80 go 1 mile south on 52 make left on Hwy 94 go 15 miles turn right on 602 (Brush Creek Rd) go 5 miles. Turn left on Arrowhead first right into entrance We are between Ivanhoe and Fries. I would not go by MapQuest direction, this is not good for trailers. |
