Trail Description |
The campground has trail heads leaving camp to the East and to the West and is close to sites such as Hayes Canyon, Double-Branch Hole, Jackson Hole, Peter's Cave, Indian Kitchen, Saltpeter Cave, Natural Bridge, etc. Shawnee National Forest has 100's of miles of trails that vary in difficulty and terrain. You can ride for weeks and still not see all there is to see. The natural rock formations and bluffs are beautiful. Trails are generally soil based and rocky - most riders have their horses shod. The River-to-River trail has several miles of graveled trail for all-weather use. Many stream and creek crossings to offer your horse or mule water on the trail. |
