Trail Description Easy access to all the trails in the Mt. Rogers area with its beautiful scenery and excellent views. Only a 50 minute ride to the scales.

Campground Nice campground with elec. and water hook-ups and a dump station. The lots are level and they have a bathhouse.

Directions 30 minutes south of I-81 @ Marion, VA on Hwy 16 to Troutdale. Turn right on Hwy. 603, left on Rocky Hollow Rd. From I-77, travel west on Hwy. 58 through Independence, north on Hwy. 16 to Troutdale, left on Hwy. 603 (Fairwoods), left on Rocky Hollow Rd.

 Easy (Gently sloping or level terrain; trails are groomed or wide open; shallow or no creek crossings. ) 
 More Difficult (Moderate hills over consistent surface; possibly some narrow trails and short steeper slopes) 
 Rigorous (Easy to More Difficult for rider but physically challenging for horse such as on a level surface through deep sand) 
 Challenging (Possible rocky, uneven surface, steep slopes, uncleared trails, faster flowing streams and other obstacles that lead to more difficult riding for rider and horse)
