Trail Description |
Beautiful scenery; scenic waterfalls; moderate to very steep hills; trails cross Buffalo River in some areas. One trail leads to the river where you can ride in and out of the river for several hours. Many of the trails are not marked very well, so it is advisable to ride the first time or two with someone who knows the trails. It's also advisable for your horse to be well-conditioned and used to challenging terrain. Trails are well worth it. |

Campground |
The campgrounds are about five miles off the main road. Two campgrounds with shade, one of which has campsites backing up to the the Buffalo River. There are several bathhouses; laundry facilities available. Plenty of stalls for horses, or you can picket your horse. Campsites have electricity but no water or grills. Drinking water and water for horses is available in the campgrounds. Canoe, kayak and innertube rentals are nearby. This place is FUN!!!!!!!!! Whether you like the party crowd or want to bring your children, there is something for everyone. During organized rides and on holiday weekends, there is a band at the pavilion. This place is worth a return trip year after year! |
