Trail Description Over 20 miles of tree shaded trails, some two track but many are single track going thru various types of terrain. Mostly sandy footing with few rocks. Wonderful area to swim horses!
Best Time to Visit Year round great riding, no hunting area,
Times to Avoid
Campground Hillside and tree covered campground with electric and water at each site. Mostly level, gravel pads

Directions 12 miles north of Paris, Texas off 271 take 906 West over the dam then take 197 west in Chicota. Turn left at the Pat Mayse Sign and then go straight into Pat Mayse East

(Gently sloping or level terrain; trails are groomed or wide open; shallow or no creek crossings. ) 
 More Difficult (Moderate hills over consistent surface; possibly some narrow trails and short steeper slopes) 
 Rigorous (Easy to More Difficult for rider but physically challenging for horse such as on a level surface through deep sand) 
 Challenging (Possible rocky, uneven surface, steep slopes, uncleared trails, faster flowing streams and other obstacles that lead to more difficult riding for rider and horse)
