Washburn County offers the ideal location for horseback riding enthusiasts.
Dugan Run Horse Trails are located 15 miles east of Spooner. There are 30 miles of equestrian trail loops through gently rolling hardwood ridges.
The north trail head is located 2 miles north of Highway 70 on Dugan Lake Road. Amenities include parking, bathroom, well, pavilion, fire ring, grills and primitive camping.
The south trailhead is located 2 miles south of Highway 70 on Harmon Lake Road. Amenities include parking, bathroom, well, fire rings, grills and 12 campsites with electrical hookup.

Both trailheads have water, bathrooms, pavilions, picnic tables, fire rings, grills, manure vaults and large parking areas.
The Dugan Run Trailhead (North Trailhead) offers primitive camping with 10 campsites. A hand pump is available for water
The Harmon Lake Trailhead (South Trailhead) offers more modern camping. The site offers 9 campsites with electrical service. This area also has an electric well and two water sources.
Users are asked to collect all manure and place it in the concrete vaults located on site. There is no garbage pickup service at either site. Campers are asked to dispose of their own garbage. Campers are permitted to gather firewood from County Forest adjacent to the trailheads.
