Trail Description The park has 50 miles of developed, multi-use trails for hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian use. Visitors must provide their own horses. Special trail rides for groups are offered in a wildlife area of over 1,000 acres called "Macy's Last Stand."

Campground Facilities include campsites with water and electricity (10 with horse pens). Water is provided in some places throughout the primitive areas. Visitors must remove waste (clean area) when leaving.

Directions San Angelo State Park is located on the shores of O.C. Fisher Reservoir adjacent to the City of San Angelo,Texas in Tom Green County. Directions: To reach the park from San Angelo, take US Highway 67 south to FM 2288 to the south shore entrance or US Highway 87 north to FM 2288 south to the north shore entrance.  More Difficult (Moderate hills over consistent surface; possibly some narrow trails and short steeper slopes) 
 Rigorous (Easy to More Difficult for rider but physically challenging for horse such as on a level surface through deep sand) 
 Challenging (Possible rocky, uneven surface, steep slopes, uncleared trails, faster flowing streams and other obstacles that lead to more difficult riding for rider and horse)
